Málaga
50 minutes by car
The most famous city on the Costa del Sol and the capital of the province. This lively coastal city offers not only a beautiful harbor but also fantastic beaches. In the historic center you’ll find great shops, restaurants, and numerous cultural highlights. Visit the Alcazaba, offering a stunning view over the city, the Castillo de Gibralfaro, the cathedral, the Picasso Museum and his birthplace, and the local market Mercado Central de Atarazanas, all within walking distance.

Granada
1.5 hours by car
Granada is a historic gem, famous for the breathtaking Alhambra palace. Be sure to book your tickets online well in advance buy online tickets. Other must-sees include the neighborhoods of El Albaicín and Sacromonte, the Alcaicería market, the cathedral, La Cartuja Monastery, the ancient Arab baths El Bañuelo, and the Palacio de Dar-al-Horra.

Córdoba

Visiting the magnificent city of Córdoba is definitely worth your time. Over a thousand years ago, it was the most powerful city in the world. Walking through the narrow old streets, you’ll still feel its grandeur. Don’t miss the Mezquita Catedral, walk into the city via the Puente Romano, and be sure to visit Medina Azahara, the Palacio de Viana, the Torre de la Calahorra, and Plaza de la Corredera.

Frigiliana

One of the most charming and well-preserved 'pueblos blancos' (white villages) in Andalusia. The old Moorish center is like a step back in time. Frigiliana is considered the best-preserved historical village in the province of Málaga and was declared a national heritage site in 2014. Wander the narrow, winding streets and discover the charm around every corner.

Nerja

A lively seaside town perfect for strolling through narrow streets lined with shops, restaurants, and cozy cafés. In the heart of town, you’ll find the Balcón de Europa, a stunning viewpoint situated on a cliff overlooking the sea. Don’t miss the Nerja Caves, known as the “Cathedral of the Paleolithic” for their incredible stalactites, stalagmites, and prehistoric cave paintings.

Mijas

Famous for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, colorful flower pots, and beautiful little squares. No visit is complete without seeing this stunning and characterful white village nestled on the slopes of the Sierra Blanca. Be sure to visit Paseo El Compás, where a chapel carved into the rock houses the statue of Virgen de la Peña, the town’s patron saint. Legend says the statue was discovered in 1586 hidden in the walls of an old fortress by two children, to avoid capture by the Moors.

Ronda

Ronda is one of the most spectacular towns in Andalusia, known for its dramatic setting and rich history. The town is famous for its three bridges spanning the El Tajo gorge: Puente Viejo (Old Bridge), Puente Romano (Roman Bridge), and the iconic Puente Nuevo (New Bridge). This one is very impressive and was build in 1751. In total it took 42 years to complete the construction. The bridge connects the old Moorish quarter with the newer El Mercadillo district.
Ronda is also home to Spain’s oldest stone bullring and the Arab Baths (Baños Árabes) from the 13th-century Almohad dynasty, among the best-preserved in the country.

Caminito del Rey

If you love nature and enjoy a challenging walk at height, don’t miss the Caminito del Rey, the “King’s Path.” It’s an impressive experience. This once-dangerous trail along the cliffs was originally used by workers from the hydroelectric plants. Today, the route has been fully restored to meet modern safety standards. You can walk it on your own or join a guided tour for an unforgettable experience. Reserve your tickets prior to your visit.
